PIZANO'S (Loop)

Well, after months and months of failed delivery attempts, I decided to go right to the horses mouth & finally was able to try Pizano's Pizzeria.

This place is a Chicago institution and it's worthy of all it's praise. I guess Oprah named it her favorite thin crust....(and I'm sure that means an absolute ton to you loyal Slice readers).

From the name to the square cut pies (suck one, Cyril), Pizano's is a quintessential Chicago pizzaria; The epitome of Chicago-Style thin crust (firm crust, lots of Italian style sauce, herbs, etc etc).I was also a huge fan of the crust, too. I'm not sure if it was cornmeal but it was very similar to the crust used by Home Run Inn (best frozen pie, in my humble opinion).

Anyway, not really too much else to say about this place. It's the bees-knees, so go try it. I would give these guys a better rating if they delivered to my apartment...get your shit together, Pizano's!!!!
